Welcome to St James, Eve Hill
Services on Sunday: at 9.30 am. Usually a service of Holy Communion. Baptism (christening) is also held around once a month and a service of Morning Prayer. Contact us if you'd like details of MAGIC (ME & God in Christ) - our regular activities for children and young people. St James also holds a weekly evening service. During summer months (April to October) at 6.30 pm and in the winter at 4.30 pm. More details can be found here.
Other Activities: Worship at St James is complemented by our church choir which meets on Thursday for choir practice at 7.30 pm. Most weeks during school term a lunch club meets in the Crypt beneath the church on Thursdays from 12.15 pm. Mothers Union meets on a monthly basis - usually Monday afternoons. We also have a regular knitting group. All our church groups are glad to welcome new members.
St James is a regular venue for concerts performed by various groups including Dudley Choral Society which uses the church for practice nights. Through the year there are regular social activities. Details of these, along with events in our sister churches, can be found here. Many take place in the Crypt beneath the church which is available for hire by the local community.
Jesson's Church of England (VA) Primary School: St James enjoys a close relationship with Jesson's which is nearby. As a church school, it regularly hold services in church. At the same time, it's proud to welcome children from a wide range of cultures and beliefs, all of these being valued and respected.
